Michel Platini expresses gratitude to Viktor Yanukovych for efforts put into EURO-2012 success

19.07.2012 10:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — UEFA President Michel Platini expressed gratitude to President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych for gradual and constant maintenance of great work provided to ensure successful holding of EURO-2012. «On behalf of the UEFA Executive Committee and myself, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the great efforts that the Ukrainian authorities applied for perfect hosting of EURO-2012,» Platini said in his letter. The UEFA President said that the tournament «was a great success at all levels». He also expressed hope that EURO-2012 will remain in Ukrainians’ memory and will become a source of inspiration for future generations in the context of future sport development and preserving the values it professes. «I also hope that the development of infrastructure necessary for the tournament will fit into the strategy of sustainable development,» Michel Platini noted.
