UN Women: "Virtuous" not "vicious" cycle needed to tackle poverty, gender equality

As of this week, while speaking just after the latest High Level review of LDCs progress, in Antalya
(Turkey), Lakshmi Puri, the Deputy Executive Director of the UN Women, has said the «vicious cycle» where poverty feeds gender inequality within the world Least Developed Countries (LDCs), can become a «virtuous» one, if everyone embraces sustainable development, UN Radio reports.
As to the report, Puri has stressed the importance of integrating gender equality, womens empowerment, and poverty eradication efforts among the group of 48 nations.
