02.06.2016 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of this week, within a UN conference in South Korea, a global agenda ensuring everyone a right to a quality education was adopted, UN Radio reports.
As to the report, the conference offered a platform for NGOs from around the world to cooperate in support of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
Reportedly, the Agenda includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs and was agreed by world leaders at the United Nations in New York last year Sept.
It is to be admitted, the new agenda, also known as the Gyeongju Action Plan, includes a series of concrete measures for NGOs around the world to jump-start implementation of the 2030 Agenda at the grass roots level.
It also serves as a guide to enhance the ability of the stakeholders to lobby their governments for the implementation of the SDGs.
The Action Plan will be widely shared with civil society as well as within the UN system, Member States and learning communities.
