In Poland, Ukrainian President took part in ceremony of commemorating the deceased in World War II

As of yesterday, within his working visit to Poland, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko took part in the ceremony of commemorating the deceased in the World War II at the memorial complex "Monument to the «Heroes of Westerplatte», President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the ceremony was attended by President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski, heads of foreign delegations, inter alia, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, Presidents of Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Romania and Croatia.
Reportedly, the ceremony included sound and light installations, as well as the movie about the World War II. 20 artillery volleys sounded. The Honor Guard laid a wreath to the monument. The attendees paid tribute to the fallen with a moment of silence.
As to the report, within his speech, Bronislaw Komorowski, inter alia, said: «The entire Europe celebrated the end of war 70 years ago. Still, the end of war was not the beginning of freedom era for everyone. New war became a real shock for everyone». The Polish President noted that Ukraine should be among the Eastern Partnership countries. «If they want this and are ready to do this in our common European home,» he added.
