Ukraine offers Saudi Arabia the long-term program of cooperation in agroindustrial complex

Ukraine offers Saudi Arabia the long-term plan of cooperation in agroindustrial complex. It was declared on Friday by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov during a meeting with the Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia Ibrahim Al-Assaf.
«I would like to offer Your Government the particular plan of cooperation. We could schedule on every year volume of import of barley necessary for you. We can grow barley as much as you need. But the confidence is necessary to us in order to make annually plans of the determined lands for barley cultivation, to warrant quality, volumes and times of deliveries. It would be cooperation already on the long-term basis. We could make the same and in the field of production of other food», — Mykola Azarov noted.
He has added that Ukraine needs serious, stable buyers of its agrarian products for years forward.
Besides, the Head of Government has stressed that Ukraine works over a diversification of sources of deliveries of oil and gas as the price for import Russian gas is unacceptable.
Mykola Azarov has noticed that Ukraine will increase also extraction of own hydrocarbons. According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine has guaranteed about 1 trillion cubic meters of the reconnoitered gas fields and nearby 20 trillion cubic meters of gas demanding reconnaissance.
«Ukraine needs cooperation in development of these resources», — Mykola Azarov has specified.
The Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia has supported the proposal of the Head of the Ukrainian Government concerning cooperation in agroindustrial complex.
However, Ibrahim Al-Assaf has added that Saudi Arabia is ready to increase oil extraction: «We can produce as much oil as you need. You will produce more grains, and we will increase oil extraction».
