Tsukorinvest to purchase six plants in Ternopil region

Company Tsukorinvest (Kyiv), having already received corresponding permission of Antimonopoly Committee, is going to purchase six sugar plants in Ternopil region, reports Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee’s press-service. In particular, Tsukorinvest has received permission for purchasing of controlling blocks of shares (with over 50% of management boards’ votes) of Bortshiov-Tsukor, Bugach-Tsukor, Zbarazh-Tsukor, Lanovtsi-Tsukor, Kozova-Tsukor, Horostkiv-Tsukor. Tsukorinvest functions on sugar market as well as on Poltava region’s sugar beet market. As earlier reported, Ukrainian companies owning sugar plants have started selling them due to abolishment of give-and-take basis’ raw sugar operations. Domestic sugar market’s yearly capacity is being estimated 1.8-2 million tons.
