06.11.2019 21:29 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As to experts, Ukrainian 2019 grains crop is expected to be record high (over 70 million tons) due to country favorable weather conditions, UNIAN says referring to
Tetiana Adamenko, Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Agrometeorology Deartment Head, report.
«Upon whole, within 2019, Ukrainian agriculture has faced favorable weather conditions, and all the agricultural plants’ crop has been as high as of 2018. Thus, as of 2019, the maize average yield is up against 2018, with the maize quality being high. It is to be admitted, the maize crop is usially much influenced not only by the weather conditions’ factor, but also by the maize cultivation technology and varities. Also, the sunseeds and soybeans’ crop is as high as of 2018, or slightly down (though so far not the total sunseeds and soybeans’ sown areas have been harvested at). So, in total, this year the Ukrainian grains crop is quite possible to reach a new record high - 70 million tons,» Adamenko said.
