Harvesting campaign 2019: grains/leguminous plants harvesting almost over

16.08.2019 23:16 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of this year Aug 16, Ukrainian agrarians have harvested their grains/leguminous plants at 9.8 million ha (99% total planned areas to be harvested at), ( Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Foods reports. As to the report, in total, agrarians have got 38.5 million tons grains/leguminous plants (average yield - 39.1 metric centners per ha), incl.: 28.2 million tons wheat at 6.7 million ha (99%), average yield - 41.9 metric centners per ha; 9 million tons barley at 2.59 million ha (99%), average yield - 34.9 metric centners per ha; 318,000 tons rye at 115,000 ha (98%), average yield - 27.7 metric centners per ha; 384,000 tons oats at 155,000 ha (85%), average yield - 24.7 metric centners per ha; 583,000 tons peas at 257,000 ha (100%), average yield - 22.7 metric centners per ha; 3.1 million tons rapeseeds at 1.25 million ha (99%), average yield - 24.9 metric centners per ha. As to the report, alongside with harvesting, 19 regions’ agrarians have started also the winter rapeseeds’ sowing (2020 crop). Thus, as of this year Aug 16, the agrarians have already sown the winter rapeseeds at 278,000 ha (26% total areas to be sown at).
