Pilot project on raw milk quality control presented within Vinnytsia region

As of last week, a meeting was held within Vinnytsia region on the launch of the pilot project ‘Raw Milk Quality Control Program’ developed within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian project ‘Creation of a system for monitoring of the safety of food products based on risk assessment within the cycle of the Ukrainian dairy products’ output and marketing’, Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection reports.
As to the report, the event was attended by Deputy Director of the Ukrainian State Food Safety and Veterinary Medicine Department Mykola Bilous, representatives of the Project on Raw Milk Quality within Vinnytsia region, other officials as well as local raw milk producers and processors.
As to the report, the project is aimed to support the creation and implementation of a modern Ukrainian food safety control system based on risk assessment of the dairy output economic sector.
It is to be noted, the project is targeted to provide the technical assistance to the Ukrainian State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service (in order to develop and put in place a modern system for inspecting the food products’ safety based on risk assessment of the dairy output economic sector) and besides to support the domestic dairy industry through the implementation of an advisory program to improve the safe and high-quality raw milk output at the level of primary output.
