World biggest sugar plant to be constructed within Egypt

The Egyptian Canal Sugar is going to construct the world biggest sugar plant producing the sugar from the sugar beet , Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Reuters report.
As to the report, within the next 6 months, UAH100 million and 1.2 milliard Egyptian pounds (US$69 million) will be spent to purchase, construct and launch the sugar plant within the western part of the Minya Governorate. Later on, a US$700 million long-term loan will be worked out.
It is to be admitted, the purpose of the West Minya project is to create the world biggest sugar plant (on sugar beet) producing 900,000 tons sugar per year; the plant estimated total cost is about UAH1 milliard.
Besides, the project also aims to restore about 187,850 acre deserts to provide the output of 2 million tons of sugar beet per year (and other strategically important crops such as wheat and maize).
