Ukrainian sugar output possible to decline

Within 2019/20 MY (marketing year, Sep 2019 Aug 2020) Ukrainian sugar output is likely to decline to 1.4 million tons, down 22% against 2018/19 MY, UNIAN says referring to Maryna Sidak, Head of Sucden analytical department, report.
«Within the next season, the Ukrainian sowing areas will shorten by 11% down to 250,000 ha; besides, the Ukrainian sugar output will be about 1.41.6 million tons. In addition, there will be a boost of the domestic sugar transitive reserves by way of growth of the unsold sugar intended to be exported,» she admitted.
Maryna Sidak made it known the Ukrainian 2019/20 MY sugar beets sown areas’ shortening (followed with the sugar output decline) will be caucused by global market grains prices’ boost.
