12.02.2019 21:08 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
A new sugar plant will be built within Shusha district of Zhambyl region (Kazakhstan) until 2021; the design estimates have been already prepared, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Habar 24 report.
As to the report, the modern plant cost is about 80 milliard tenge (about RUB14 milliard), with 30% being the investor’s fund; the new plant is to produce 8,000 tons sugar per day.
It is to be admitted, there are 2 sugar plants already working within Zhambyl region; however, these plants’ equipment does not meet the world modern standards. In meanwhile, the Zhambyl region agrarians are going to gradually boost their sugar beets’ sown areas. Thus, this year the agrarians are going to sow their sugar beets at 9,500 ha (up 20% against last year).
