IMF approves new Stand-By Arrangement for Ukraine

As of this year Dec 18, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board has approved a 14-month Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) for Ukraine worth a total of US$3.9 milliard, Ukrinform says referring to the IMF report.
As to the report, the approval of the SBA enables the immediate disbursement of about US$1.4 milliard. The remainder will be available upon completion of semi-annual reviews. Ukraines government should adhere to a number of conditions aimed at ensuring the stability of the national economy.
Reportedly, the IMF Executive Board took note of Ukrainian decision to cancel the arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) for Ukraine that was approved on Mar 11, 2015.
As to the report, the Ukrainian authorities economic program supported by the SBA will promote the progress made under the EFF arrangement.
