Brazilian sugar plants ethanol output up
03.12.2018 18:44 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of now, the Brazilian domestic sugar plants are growing their ethanol output,
Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Reuters report.
As to the report, the sugar output growth is due to the global sugar prices’ decline and Brazil State having strengthened the domestic biofuels’ demand boost.
Reportedly, within 2018/2019 MY the Brazilian sugar plants have started growing their ethanol output and thus shortened their sugar output by 9 million tons (what makes a 9 year Brazilian domestic sugar output minimum low).
In meanwhile, the experts admit Brazilian sugar plants having switched upon the ethanol output can contribute to the global sugar surplus shortening (as sugar surplus makes a pressure upon the global sugar prices).
In meanwhile, the USDA experts say Brazil is going to cede, firstly within the last 16 years, its global sugar output leader place to India.
