Ukraine, UK developing certificates for mutual foods trade

As of this week, the Ukrainian delegation and the representatives of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) of the United Kingdom have discussed the forms of bilateral certificates for mutual agricultural products and foods trade, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection report.
«The Ukrainian delegation consisting of Olga Trofimtseva, Ukrainian Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister, and Volodymyr Lapa, Head of the Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection, discussed with the DEFRA representatives the coordination of forms of bilateral certificates and items with potential for mutual trade,» the report reads.
In meanwhile, Lapa admitted now Ukraine is interested in expanding bilateral cooperation within the sanitary and phytosanitary measures and fostering cooperation between the government laboratories.
