Harvesting 2018: agrarians threshed over 43 million tons grains

05.10.2018 23:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of this year Oct 5, Ukrainian agrarians have got 43.2 million tons grains/leguminous crops at 11.5 million ha (77% total planned areas), average yield - 37.7 metric centners per ha, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports. Thus, in part., agrarians have got 34.3 million tons early grains/leguminous crops at 9.9 million ha, average yield - 34.8 metric centners per ha; maize - 8.3 million tons at 1.4 million ha (30%), average yield - 60.9 metric centners per ha; buckwheat - 114,000 tons at 92,000 ha (85%), average yield - 12.4 metric centners per ha; millet - 68,000 tons at 44,000 ha (85%), average yield - 15.3 metric centners per ha. Also, as of this year Oct 5, agrarians have threshed 10.3 million tons sunseeds at 4.7 million ha (78%), average yield - 21.8 metric centners per ha; 2.3 million tons soybeans at 932,000 ha (55%), average yield - 25.0 ha; 2.7 million tons rapeseeds at 1 million ha, average yield - 26.1 metric centners per ha; 3.9 million tons sugar beets at 82,000 ha (29%), average yield - 478 metric centners per ha. In meanwhile, presently agrarians continue winter plants’ sowing (2019 crop). Thus, Ukrainian agrarians have sown winter grains (2019 crop) at 5.1 million ha (71% of total planned 7.2 million ha); winter rapeseeds - 987,000 ha (111%, 888,000 ha).
