"Nibulon" interested within Kherson port concessioning

JV Nibulon Ltd, one of the Ukrainian largest grains traders, can invest into the Kherson Commercial Sea Port on a concession basis, Interfax-Ukraine says referring to the Port report on the results of the visit of the Nibulon delegation on Oct 2 led by Nibulon General Director Olexiy Vadaturskiy to the Port.
«Now, Ukrainian investors — for instance, JV Nibulon Ltd, have also shown interest to the Kherson sea trading port,» Vadaturskiy said.
The report reminds earlier the possibility of the Port concessioning was also examined by foreign investors.
Earlier, Volodymyr Omelian, Head of Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure, has repeatedly announced that the first pilot competitions for attracting of the investors on a concessionary basis to the Ukrainian port industry will be competitions as for the Ukrainian ports Olviya and Kherson.
It is to be admitted, Joint Venture Nibulon Ltd was established 1991. It has elevator capacities totaling about 2 million tons, its own transshipment terminal within Mykolayiv with a capacity of 5 million tons, 11 river terminals on the Dnieper and the Southern Bug, and a vessel fleet of 67 vessels, and the Mykolayiv shipbuilding plant.
As of now, Nibulon processes 83,000 ha land; it exports its agricultural products to more than 60 countries, with the annual export volume exceeding 4.5 million tons.
