Harvesting 2018: early grains harvesting has been joined by Zaporizhzhia region agrarians

18.06.2018 22:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of this year Jun 15, Zaporizhzhia region agrarians have joined Ukrainian early grains/leguminous crops harvesting; Zaporizhzhia region agrarians have threshed 1,700 tons early grains at 600 ha, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports. As to the report, now the early grains harvesting is continued by the Mykolayiv region agrarians (who have already got 29,700 tons at 10,800 ha); Odesa region (53,100 tons at 13,800 ha) and Kerson region (25,600 tons at 8,900 ha). Reportedly, as of this year Jun 15, Ukrainian agrarians have already got 110,100 tons early grains/leguminous crops at 34,100 ha (average yield - 32.3 metric centners per ha). Agrarians have harvested 108,000 barley and 1,300 tons peas. As to the regions’ data, Ukrainian all categories companies have sown agricultural plants at over 26 million ha (for 2018 crop), same as of 2017. Thus, grains have been sown at 14.6 million ha (same as of 2017), incl. winter grains - 7.3 million ha, spring grains/leguminous crops - 7.3 million ha (incl. grains maize - 4.6 million ha; buckwheat - 104,600 ha; millet - 44,500 ha). Besides, agrarians have also sown sunflower at 5.8 million ha, soybeans - at 1.8 million ha and sugar beet - at 282,000 ha.
