OIE Delegates World Assembly new Session takes place

As of last week Sat, a Ukrainian delegation headed by First Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection and OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) Delegate from Ukraine Andriy Zhuk, took part within the official opening ceremony of the 86th General Session of the World Assembly of Delegates of the OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) within Paris (France), Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection reports.
It is to be admitted, the Session takes place annually within Paris where the OIE headquarters is located, and includes a week of working sessions and meetings, within which member countries hold bilateral meetings to settle trade issues.
As to the report, the Session brings together partners, members, colleagues from all over the world. Thus, this time the Session is participated by 800 participants (of which 23 are the ministers from 111 world countries).
Reportedly, within this meeting various important issues will be raised and discussed (incl. fight against animal diseases and issues of antimicrobial resistance and international trade).
As to the report, OIE Director-General Monique Eloit, while opening the Session, said there is a need to unite the efforts of all countries and continents, and called for an ambitious work to protect animal health in order to preserve the future.
It is to be admitted, the the 86th General Session of the World Assembly of Delegates of the OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) will last within this year May 19–26.
