Ukrainian import substitution successful: Ukrspyrt launched a distillery standing idle over 3 years

As of last week, within Velykiy Liubin (Lviv region), Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Olga Trofimtseva, Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleh Syniutka, Officer-in-Charge of the Ukrspyrt Yuriy Luchechko, and Chairman of the Velykiy Liubin United Territorial Community held a working meeting with the Velykiy Lubin distillery staff,
State-owned Company Ukrspyrt reports.
As to the report, the meeting was devoted to the resumption of the Velykiy Liubin distillery functioning; the distillery was converted into the output of odoriferous substances’ mixtures for the domestic perfumery industry.
As to the report, the renovation of the distillery activity was made within the framework of the Ukrspyrt strategic development plan within Lviv region (due to the memorandum signed between the Lviv Regional State Administration and the State-owned Company Ukrspyrt as of this year Feb 9).
As to the report, for the first time within recent years, a Ukrainian distillery has been provided with a comprehensive plan of modernization aimed at its output diversification and import substitution. Thus, the odoriferous alcohol-containing mixtures are to be produced at the distillery for the domestic perfumery producers (numbering over 120 companies).
As to the report, while summing up the results of the working meeting with the Velykiy Liubin distillery staff, Officer-in-Charge of the Ukrspyrt Yuriy Luchechko said the distillery will continue its modernization process and new kinds of ready products’ output. Also, Luchechko pledged several other Ukrainian distilleries to be updated within short time.
