Ukrainian sugar export up almost nine times

Within Jan-Mar 2017, Ukrainian sugar export has jumped to 267,400 tons (US$131.5 million), up 8,6 times against 2016 similar, NRCU says referring to Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry report.
As to the report, within Jan-Mar 2017, Ukraine supplied sugar worth US$108.8 million to Africa and Asia, and the value of sugar exports to European markets reached US$21.2 million. The largest importers of sugar from Ukraine were Cote dIvoire (US$16.2 million), Sri Lanka (US$6 million), Myanmar (US$12 million) and Libya (US$11.4 million). Within 2016 similar, the largest importer of the Ukrainian sugar was Romania (US$10.3 million).
