Kubiv with his deputies met with members of the European Business Association

As of last week, Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv, together with his deputies, met with members of the European Business Association, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, within his opening statement, Stepan Kubiv told about results of yearly work of the Government and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, in particular activities on deregulation, improvement of the business climate, of the economic conditions of doing business and others.
«We make every effort to ensure 2017 to become the year of growth in all sectors of the economy from trade to construction. We understand that business is the driving force of this growth so we are working to ease doing business in Ukraine,» he admitted.
As to him, the process of implementation of a number of reforms provokes resistance of certain political forces and is rather complicated. In particular, the reform of the SFS, the elimination of the tax militia and the establishment of a single Financial Investigation Service, that is responsible for the effective investigation of financial crimes throughout the country aimed at curbing corruption in this area as well as for the economizing budget funding for the maintenance of officials.
As to Kubiv, among the topics for the discussion were a deregulation reform, improving Ukraines performance in the Doing Business ranking, expanding opportunities for Ukrainian exporters, improving possibilities to create chains of added value of Ukrainian products and other issues.
It is to be admitted, the EBA members present at the meeting had the opportunity to ask questions to Stepan Kubiv and his deputies, and to ponder on systemic questions to authorities that raise concern among entrepreneurs and on how to deepen interaction and dialogue.
