Zubko announced top-priority-agenda issues for local authorities

20.02.2017 17:46 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of last week, while speaking within a congress of the Ukrainian Association of Local and Regional Authorities, Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Ghennadiy Zubko said sectoral decentralization is among top priority issues local authorities are facing. People want to see a different quality of education, medicine, planning of territories, social and administrative services in the regions. And using the resources of regional and local budgets, consolidated communities can carry out the above mentioned improvements, Government Portal reports. As to Zubko, the Slobozhanska consolidated community (which has been developing infrastructure from its local budget alone) can be named an example of such a community. As to the report, Zubko admitted that nowadays economic growth of the country is directly connected with activity of local authorities, development of small and medium-sized businesses. «We will advance our activity to improve welfare of Ukrainian citizens and promote regional development,» Zubko stressed.
