Groisman: We must give sufficient authorities to local communities to ensure efficiency in solving problems

15.09.2016 16:44 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while presenting to EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Johannes Hahn of the e-opportunities and e-services provided by the Vinnytsia city local Council, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said he stands for delegating the responsibilities and powers to local communities, thus enabling them to find efficient solutions of the urgent problems, Government Portal reports. «Our task is to delegate to the local communities sufficient responsibilities and authorities that will enable them to more effectively address the issues,» Groisman said. «It is crucial to create such prerequisites that the communities and their role be enhanced, as before in Ukraine it was a side issue. Earlier, the central Government used to concentrate most of powers,» he stressed. As to him, the practice of introduction of electronic tools and electronic services by local authorities of Vinnytsia and other cities that have such practices, is rather positive and should be spread throughout the entire Ukraine in different sectors. It is to be admitted, today, within the framework of their working visit to Vinnytsia region, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman and EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Johannes Hahn have got acquainted with the work of the Vinnytsia city administrative services center.
