Harvesting of early grains almost completed in Ukraine

As of this year Aug 15, Ukrainian agrarians have almost finished early grains’ harvesting. The total grains’ crop has reached about 37 million tons; the grains have been harvested at the territory of 9.6 million hectares (99% of total expected), Government Portal says referring to the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food report.
As to the report, the grains’ average yield is 39.4 metric centners per hectare.
Thus, in part., agrarians have harvested wheat at 6.16 million hectares (99% of total expected); agrarians have got 26.4 million tons wheat (down against last year similar 26.7 million tons); average yield is 42.8 metric centners per hectare (up against last year similar 39.4 metric centners per hectare).
As to the report, barley has been harvested at 2.86 million hectares (99%); agrarians have received 9.8 million tons barley (up as of previous year similar 8.5 million tons); average yield is 34.1 metric centners per hectare (up against last year similar 30.4 metric centners per hectare).
Besides, rye has been harvested at 138 thousand hectares (97%); agrarians have received 373 thousand tons rye (up against last year similar 359 thousand tons); average yield is 26.9 metric centners per hectare (up against last year similar 25.3 metric centners per hectare).
As to the report, oats have been harvested at 188 thousand hectares (90%); agrarians have received 481 thousand tons oats (up against last year similar 469 thousand tons), with the oats’ average yield being 25.6 metric centners per hectare (up against last year similar 23.7 metric centners per hectare).
Reportedly, peas have been harvested at 236 thousand hectares (99%); agrarians have got 763 thousand tons peas (up as of previous year similar 392 thousand tons); average yield is 32.3 metric centners per hectare (up against last year similar 23.3 metric centners per hectare).
Besides, winter rape has been harvested at 434 thousand hectares (96%); agrarians have received 1.1 million tons winter rape ( down against last year similar 1.7 million tons); average yield is 26.2 metric centners per hectare (up against last year similar 25.7 metric centners per hectare).
As to the report, highest average yields have been assured by Vinnytsia region (55.3 metric centners per hectare), Khmelnytskiy region (53.7 metric centners per hectare), Cherkasy region (52.0 metric centners per hectare) and Kyiv region (49.9 metric centners per hectare).
