President at Ukraine-Indonesia business forum: We should use potential of cooperation; doors of Ukraine are open for investors

As of last week, within the framework of his state visit to Indonesia, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Indonesian businessmen, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko considers Indonesia an important trade partner of Ukraine in Southeast Asia. Petro Poroshenko noted significant boost in trade turnover between the countries adding that the majority of goods come from agriculture (about 80%).
«I am glad to see such a big number of Ukrainian and Indonesian businessmen here. It demonstrates huge potential of cooperation between our countries,» Poroshenko emphasized.
The President noted fruitful negotiations with leadership of Indonesia reminding that several documents had been signed in Jakarta, particularly on cooperation in defense sphere, agriculture and visa liberalization.
As to him, fruitful negotiations had been held on the opportunity of energy equipment production. «We also have a significant potential in pharmaceutical sector,» the President added.
«We should use our unique opportunities for expansion of cooperation as soon as possible,» Poroshenko noted.
As to the report, a special attention was paid to the opportunities opened due to the FTA Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. «Ukraine should become a platform that provides access to the European market for Indonesia. At the same time, we consider Indonesia a platform that will provide access to the great Asian market for us,» Poroshenko said.
As to the report, Poroshenko reminded that the Ukrainian President had not visited Indonesia for about 20 years. «Thus, after this visit, our countries and citizens will become closer. Our doors and hearts are open for you. We are waiting for you,» the President concluded.
