Groisman: We are to return to discussions on a new tax system

29.04.2016 10:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — We must develop a new tax system to be simple, sustainable, devoid of populism and to give time for business to adapt to new conditions, Government Portal says referring to the Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman report made within a meeting with domestic and foreign business representatives yesterday. It is to be admitted, the meeting was also attended by the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. «We are to return to discussions on a new tax system. It should be in a format that is easy to understand and it should be constant. The most important thing is that we should adopt it not on the New Year Eve, but we should give time to business for adaptation. It should not be in a populist way. These are the parameters over which we will work,» Groisman said. Besides, the PM also said that the issue of a return to the development of tax reform had been discussed with the Strategic Advisory Group; this idea was also supported by the Ukrainian President. As to Groisman, there was a lot of developments on this issue, and so he expressed belief that it would be possible to reach a consolidated decision to be adopted by the Ukrainian Parliament.
