World Bank experts propose that Kyiv optimizes 90 bus routes to develop transport network

The World Bank experts have proposed to the Kyiv City Administration that the shuttle bus service using smaller vehicles be replaced with larger buses and trolleybuses, NRCU says referring to the Kyiv City Administration press service report.
As to the report, currently the city has 72 bus routes, 45 trolleybus routes, 21 tram routes and 177 shuttle bus routes.
«The optimization of municipal transport routes will be gradual and after careful consideration. The city should prepare for optimization, buy additional buses, trolleybuses and trams or involve private carriers in cooperation,» Oleksandr Kozlovskiy, the Head of the Transport Infrastructure Department, said.
