Poroshenko urged Parliament to adopt draft laws on visa-free regime

As of yesterday, while speaking at the meeting with heads of political factions of the parliamentary coalition, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko urged MPs to consider and approve draft laws that must be adopted by Ukraine in order to obtain visa-free regime with the EU, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko noted that Verkhovna Rada had adopted 4 out of 13 draft laws. He added that on Nov 9, the EU assessment mission would provide a report on the fulfillment of Ukraine’s commitments within the Action Plan on liberalization of the visa-free regime with the EU.
Reportedly, the President informed that he would have a phone conversation with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker on the draft laws regarding the visa-free regime, the anti-corruption prosecution and the terms of fulfillment of Ukraine’s commitments in those issues.
As to the report, the President called on MPs to support his legislative initiative on the non-use of bail for criminals accused of corruption «for the courts to be unable to release them on bail».
Reportedly, the President reminded resonant criminal investigations and informed that he would require them to be fully transparent.
It is to be admitted, the meeting was attended by Chairman of the Parliament Volodymyr Groisman and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.
