WHO: Ebola “sting in tail” shows need for vigilance into 2016
09.09.2015 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The outbreak of the deadly Ebola disease in West Africa has a «nasty sting in its tail» which is going to require the international community’s ongoing help, UN Radio says referring to the WHO (World Health Organization) representative Dr. Bruce Aylwarda report
It is to be admitted, the report comes despite a huge drop in the number of new cases of infection.
Dr. Aylwarda reminded over 11,300 people have died in the three most affected countries, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
As to him, its expected that Ebola will be contained by the end of the year, but the international community still needs to be on hand to provide support in the event of a new outbreak.
