President honored memory of war victims in Ukraine

22.06.2015 14:38 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — On June 22, the Day of Grief and Commemoration of the War Victims in Ukraine, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko together with veterans and ATO participants have paid tribute to the warriors who defended the state in the World War II, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports. As to the report, the participants of the ceremony of laying flowers to the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Park of Glory honored the memory of the deceased with a moment of silence. The Warriors of the Honor Guard saluted from personal weapons and marched solemnly. Reportedly, the ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk, Kyiv CSA Head Vitaliy Klitschko, Kyiv RSA Head Volodymyr Shandra, Presidents of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma (1994–2005) and Viktor Yushchenko (2005–1020), Government officials, MPs, representatives of the Presidential Administration and public figures. Reportedly, upon completion of the event, the President had a brief conversation with veterans.
