Poroshenko: Olympic Movement and Olympic values are of particular importance for Ukraine
22.04.2015 09:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Olympic Movement and Olympic values are of particular importance for Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports quoting Poroshenko as saying within the yesterday meeting with the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach in Lausanne.
As to the report, Poroshenko informed on the implementation of the program of reforms «Strategy of Reforms - 2020» despite hard times and the aggression in the East of the country. Education and healthcare reforms have already been started and sports is a significant part of these reforms.
In his turn, the President of the IOC emphasized that sports had a positive influence not only on the health and education spheres, but also on the peaceful process. «The Olympic Movement and Olympic values unite people and facilitate their reconciliation, for sports has no borders. We want these values to serve global community,» Thomas Bach noted.
