Yatseniuk invited parliamentary coalition to consultations on Ukrainian further economic reforms
05.02.2015 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk invited the leaders of the parliamentary coalition to consultations with the Cabinet to tackle the further economic reform program and adoption of the necessary laws by Parliament, Government Portal says referring to Yatseniuk report on Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Feb 4.
«I emphasize: adoption of the necessary laws, but not of the political decisions,» Yatseniuk said while speaking at the meeting.
«I consider it appropriate if the Government meets with the leaders of the parliamentary coalition to discuss both the cooperation program with the International Monetary Fund and the subsequent economic reforms much needed for the country,» he stressed.
Also, the PM noted that the Parliament was to take a political decision, a sort of depriving of an ex-presidential status for Viktor Yanukovych. «I do not know for whom he has remained the president…» Yatseniuk added.
«But after our consultations with the coalition members we will have to proceed to more practical decisions. Hard, those not always easily perceived, but vital for the country,» he stressed.
Besides, the PM expressed his belief that «the parliamentary coalition in synergy with the Government and the President of Ukraine will continue pursuing the proper reforms and bearing a joint responsibility for all the decisions», «And each day we will have less populism, more pragmatism and more emphasis on concrete results, but not on short-term political dividends, which disappear quickly.»
