As of Jan-Feb, agrarians cut barley sales by 36%, down to 217,499 MT

In Jan-Feb 2010 agricultural companies have reduced barley sales to 217,499 MT, down 125,270 MT (- 36%) against Jan-Feb 2009, reported State Statistics Committee.
As for Jan-Feb 2010 barley sales structure, companies sold 1.2% total barley to processors; 1.5% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries, 4.4% - to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.
As to Committee, 10.1% barley were sold on markets (82.8% - through other trade channels).
As to report, in Jan-Feb 2009 agrarians sold 342,769 MT barley.
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Jan 2010 agricultural companies lowered barley sales to 76,563 MT, down 43,858 MT (- 36.4%) against Jan 2009.
As to Agro Perspective, in 2009 agrarians lifted barley sales to 6.086 mn MT, up 581,000 MT (+ 10.6%) against 2008.
In 2008 agrarians had sold 5.505 mn MT barley (up as of 2.576 mn MT in 2007).
