Leonid Kozhara meets with General Secretary of BSEC Permanent International Secretariat

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara as an acting head of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation has held a meeting with General Secretary of Permanent International Secretariat of BSEC Viktor Tsvirkun, Government Portal reports.
The interlocutors discussed the state of realization of the program of the BSEC activity in the light of priorities of Ukrainian chairmanship of the Organization.
Peculiar attention was paid to cooperation in economic, transport and energy areas in the BSEC frames. The meeting concerned details of preparation to the meetings on ministerial level — ministers of economics, ministers of transport and foreign affairs ministers that are to be held in the frames of Ukrainian chairmanship.
The interlocutors also exchanged with thoughts concerning possible joint events directed to deepening cooperation of the BSEC with other international organizations, notably OCSE and EU.
Viktor Tsvirkun emphasized successful implementation of the schedule of events in the framework of Ukraine’s chairmanship and informed the BSEC head about the activity of institutions of the system of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC Parliamentary Assembly, BSEC Business Council, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, International Center of Black Sea Research).
