Yanukovych promises friendly environment for Cypriot business

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych believes that Ukraine-Cyprus Business Forum will be successful and productive in the context of establishing new business contacts.
In particular, he noted that the business forum is the logical result of a significant revival of the Ukrainian-Cypriot dialogue, taking place in recent times. «I hope that it will be successful and productive for each of the participants, and its result will be new mutually beneficial agreements and joint projects,» the President said this during the meeting with business leaders of Ukraine and Cyprus, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.
According to the President, despite the world economy crisis, this year Ukraine and Cyprus could keep up the momentum in bilateral trade. «This is a clear evidence of that we are a reliable and promising partner,» the President stated.
He also expressed the belief that the traditional friendship between the Ukrainian and the Cypriot people and the significant potential of the two countries will be a good basis for further intensive development of wide mutual economic cooperation. «Ukraine is open to the world. I call on Cypriots to expand the scope of activity in Ukraine. From our part, we will do everything possible to ensure the best conditions for you and your business,» he said, addressing the participants of the business forum.
The President of Cyprus supported the proposal of his Ukrainian counterpart on the feasibility of organizing the annual business forums. «I think it will give a very positive result,» he said.
