The Government has carried out complex work to stabilize food prices

An available resources accumulated by the state due to the complex work of the Government will stabilize the price situation and to prevent the growth of prices of basic food items. This was started by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Oleksandr Sen at the briefing, which took place on Tuesday during a government phone line.
«The price of bread dependents on many factors, but should be considered major. Today government holds very serious work aimed at price stability. Regarding yield, it was harvested 14.5 million tons of wheat, plus there are significant balances of food grains. To date, forward contracts for the supply of about 870 tons of food grains are made with the landowners. So we can say that the available resources will be sufficient to ensure stable grain prices,» said Oleksandr Sen.
Deputy Minister also said that grown this year agricultural products, especially corn, sugar beets, potatoes and other vegetables, would be sufficient to ensure food security.
«The situation in Ukraine shows that we produce enough, but in the global market has its own environment, so the prices for grain growing. In connection with this very serious measures are taken to generate guarantee funds with the Agrarian Fund assistance, regional resources, which would ensure a stable supply of socially important food products,» said Oleksandr Sen.
