Cabinet to resume intergovernmental agreements grain export practice

As to Yuliya Tymoshenko grain market regulation session results report, Cabinet has decided to renew grain export intergovernmental agreements earlier practice to assure active grain selling to external markets
through authorized operators.
«We will apply all our efforts to achieve grain and flour sale/purchase contracts centralized signing with those countries which are interested in that,» said Tymoshenko.
Prime Minister made it known Government is going to propose grain producers external markets grain selling through State Committee for Material Reserves/State-owned Joint Stock Company Bread of Ukraine.
She added Government has decided to perform grain world market comprehensive analyzing/examine Ukrainian grain export directions in order to optimize export.
"Government is now going to do, in first turn, the thing previous Governments have never done: to thoroughly analyze our grain export market, — that is, all countries which have been always traditionally purchasing Ukrainian grain, " said Tymoshenko.
As earlier reported, Cabinet is going to minimize grain sale-purchase operations intermediate structures participation in order to assure agrarians grain sale high enough prices.
It is to be reminded, Apr Oleksandr Baranovskiy, Minister of Agrarian Policy, declared
agricultural producers didn’t have foods (in part., grain) prices forming possibility due to grain traders having had monopolized domestic market.
Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasts this year grain crop to reach 35–37 million tons.
2004 grain crop totaled 41.8 million tons.
