Livestock down in Ukraine

Cattle livestock in Ukraine as of September 1, 2011, made up 5.168 million heads, which is 3.2% less against the same period of 2010, the State Statistics Service informed.
Cow heads over this period reduced by 3.3% tî 2.649 million, pigs by 3.2% tî 8.102 million, sheep and goats by 0.4% to 2.104 million heads. At the same time, poultry stock grew by 0.6% and made up almost 235 million heads. Over 2010, cattle livestock in Ukraine reduced by 1.8% and by January 1, 2011, it made up 4.74 million, including cows at 2.2% tî 2.68 million. At the same time, pig stock grew by 6.1% and amounted to 8 million, poultry by 5.6% tî 202 million.
