Spirits, alcohol drinks and tobacco products output licenses/excise duties payments have been changed

Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has adopted in whole Law N 2390 «About Bringing Changes into Some Laws of Ukraine (About Payment for Licenses and Excise Duty on Spirits, Alcohol Drinks and Tobacco Products)». On Fri, new Law has been voted for by 377 people deputies (necessary — 226). Law stipulates reduction of payments for licenses on ethyl, cognac, fruit, rectified ethyl grape/fruit spirits, alcohol drinks, tobacco products, crude grape/fruit spirits production (for all companies, incl. those specializing in initial wine production): as to Law, 5 years licenses payment will total UAH780 (against current UAH25,000–250,000 annual payments). Payment for licenses on ethyl, cognac/fruit and rectified ethyl grape/fruit spirits import, export and wholesale trade will be also declined down to UAH780 (5 years). As of now, these goods wholesale trade/export licenses annual payments equal to UAH85,000 (import licenses — UAH170,000). Besides, new Law stipulates growth of excise duty rates for ethyl spirit/alcohol drinks listed in art. 1 of Law «About Excise Duty Rates for Ethyl Spirit and Alcohol Drinks» from UAH0,01 up to UAH0,20 per liter. As to Law, excise duty rates for each piece of sold tobacco products as well as excise duty on tobacco products sale turnover percentage will be as well up. It is to be reminded, adoption of this Law is necessary for bringing of current Ukrainian legislation into line with World Trade Organization (WTO) demands.
