21.03.2019 23:19 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of now, the State-owned Karabaltinskiy Alcohol Plant (Kyrgyzstan) is going to start producing the biofuels, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Kabar report.
Thus, the Kyrgyzstan authorities have elaborated a draft law aimed at improving the environmental and economic situation, as well as reducing the country import fuel dependence. It is to be admitted, biofuels are solid, liquid or gaseous fuels derived from biomass by thermochemical or biological means. Recently, within the CIS countries, there has also been a considerable interest in the use of bioethanol as motor fuels.
As to the report, at present, the State-owned Karabaltinskiy Alcohol Plant can’t compete with any of the Kyrgyzstan private alcohol plants. So, the Kyrgyzstan authorities have proposed to start the bioethanol output at the Karabaltinskiy Alcohol Plant (1.5 million dal per year) what makes it possible to carry out the bioethanol output with minimal expenditures within just 140 million soms (US$2 million).
