Experts: Ukrainian agrarians State support 2018 program implemented just by 12%

As of this week, while speaking at a Kyiv press conference «Fair mechanism for the distribution of state support to the agrarian sector: myths and reality», Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Mikhail Sokolov has said that from the amount of UAH6 milliard 311 million initially allocated by the Government for the domestic agrarians State support 2018 program, only UAH777 million (just 12%) were in fact used (as of this year end Aug), Ukrinform reports.
«Here is the result: from the initially allocated UAH6 milliard 311 million, just UAH777 million have been really used. That makes just 12%. You see, if within 9 months you use just 12% — that means that the program won’t work,» Sokolov has said.
In meanwhile, while speaking within the pres conference, People’s Deputy Ivan Miroshnichenko has said that the basic principle of the Government-allocated finances’ distribution is to be simple and transparent.
«We simply offer to share these finances among the domestic agricultural producers up to the ready products which they have officially declared and sold products. Thus, if the company has officially declared its ready products — it can receive the necessary finances and start working. So, the scheme is to be simple,» he stressed.
As to the earlier report, as of this year Sept 14, the Cabinet approved and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on the Ukrainian 2019 State budget.
