PM: Canadian business should be mainstreaming Ukraine as a new opportunities market
31.10.2017 17:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of yesterday, while on an official visit to Canada, and while speaking within a Ukrainian-Canadian Business Forum held in Toronto, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said Ukraine is becoming a market of new opportunities and has every chance to join the list of the most dynamic economies in Europe, hence the Canadian business should be mainstreaming our country, Government Portal reports.
«I discover Canada these days, and I see the high potential of our bilateral relations and concrete content we can fill our cooperation with,» Groisman said.
As to the report, the Ukrainian PM emphasized that now, especially within the context of the entry into force (as of this year Aug 1) of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada, Canadian business obtains a unique opportunity to find its own niche within the Ukrainian market.
As to the report, Groisman stressed that only in the first half of this year the trade turnover between our countries had boosted over 70%, therefore the FTA would be an excellent tool for intensifying bilateral trade, in particular within the framework of supporting small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the development of high-tech industries.
