Poroshenko met with Canadian business representatives in Toronto

25.09.2017 17:31 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of last week, while on a working visit to Canada, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with representatives of Canadian business and invited them to Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports. As to Poroshenko, the Ukraine-Canada relations have a special atmosphere. «We are doing everything possible to make ties between our countries closer. Earlier Canadian Ukrainians invested in Ukraine to support the economy. Currently, the whole Canadian business is ready to come. I would like to say that it is the right time and place for investments,» the President said. As to him, Ukraine has a great potential. As to the report, the Ukrainian President also admitted that a few days ago Ukraine had completed the issuance of Ukrainian sovereign bonds as much as US$3 milliard. «It is a good signal of investors’ trust in Ukraine and its reforms,» Poroshenko added. As to the report, the Ukrainian President also told about the changes in Ukraine, particularly anti-corruption steps, introduction of e-declaration and recent reforms made by the Ukrainian authorities. The President stressed that the international financial organizations stated that Ukraine had made much more within the last 3 years than within the previous 20. As to him, a series of Canadian companies working within the spheres of energy, agriculture, defense, finance, air construction have demonstrated significant interest in the Ukrainian market, especially in the context of the introduction of free trade with Ukraine.
