Aquaculture safety project launched within Ukraine

Within Ukraine, an aquaculture safety project, funded by the Government of Norway, has been launched in partnership with the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, Ukrinform says referring to the FAO (UN Food and Agriculture Organization) report.
As to the report, the project is aimed at Ukrainian fisheries’ legislative support development and assuring of their access to international markets, Ukrinform says referring to the FAO (UN Food and Agriculture Organization) report.
«The project implementation will contribute to the improvement of the legislative system, the development of food chains in the fishing industry and the access of Ukrainian fish producers to international markets,» the report reads.
It is to be admitted, the FAO project will be in effect until April 2018. In addition, an awareness raising campaign for fisheries laboratories regarding their responsibilities under the new rules and training sessions for fishery inspectors on imports and certification requirements will be conducted.
