Poroshenko met with leading representatives of British business circles

As of yesterday, within his official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with United Kingdom business representatives, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, within the meeting Poroshenko told about the implementation of reforms in Ukraine within the past three years and the main results achieved as for today. As to him, within the reforms’ implementation, the key focus was aimed at the creation of the investment climate, judicial reform, struggle against corruption, reform of banking and energy sector.
Also, the President told about the launching of the electronic open register of VAT refunding as of early this Apr.
As to Poroshenko, he believes in a promising future of Ukrainian-British trade and investment partnership. As to him, Great Britain has become one of the biggest foreign investors in Ukraine with over US$2 milliard and dozens of thousands of jobs.
The President noted a successful cooperation of Ukrainian company Antonov and British company Dowty Propellers within the creation of the transport aircraft An-132D.
As to the report, Poroshenko also welcomed the interest of British companies in Ukraine, particularly of Unilever that had founded a tea factory in Kyiv region and of Hutchison Ports that is planning to enter the Ukrainian market of maritime container transportation within a short run.
«Success of these projects within our country will certainly become a good example for other investors, as well as an important signal of trust in the Ukrainian reforms,» Poroshenko stressed.
As to the report, the President invited British businessmen to invest into Ukraine.
