Groisman, POSCO DAEWOO managers discuss cooperation opportunities within agro-industrial complex and electric car output

As of this week, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman met with Chief Executive Officer and President of POSCO DAEWOO Corporation Young-Sang Kim and considered potential projects to leverage investment into Ukraine, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, the Prime Minister noted that a core objective for Ukraine today is to ensure sustainable economic growth and abandoning dependence of national economy on raw materials.
«We have a strong interest in creating added value on the territory of Ukraine and it is clear that for this purpose we need new investment and projects we can consider in terms of promoting development of our agro-industrial complex, which has an extremely high potential. We are talking about the full production cycle on the territory of the country,» Groisman stressed.
As to the report, while discussing possible cooperation projects, the President of POSCO DAEWOO Corporation expressed interest of his enterprise in investing in grain handling terminal and opening a full branch of the company in Ukraine.
Besides, the Company is interested in collaboration with Ukraine within electric cars’ output and ready to assist in building of a national brand, said its President Young-Sang Kim.
As to the report, Groisman welcomed the Company plans to launch its activities in Ukraine. «We are keen on growing investment flows into Ukraine, contribution to the national economy and we consider such possible partnership as coinciding with our development potential,» he noted.
Reportedly, the Government takes measures to create favorable conditions for business and ready to provide overall support ‘turn-key’ to those business projects operating in Ukraine, assured the Prime Minister, adding setting up by the Government the Investment Promotion Office proves that.
«We are eager to exert every effort to guarantee your success and to fully unlock your potential within Ukraine,» Groisman summed up.
