Africa has made "huge step forward" in its infrastructure developping
12.10.2016 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Africa has made a «huge step forward» in developing its infrastructure from building roads to power grids, UN Radio says referring to Ibrahim Mayaki, CEO of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), report.
It is to be admitted, Mayaki has made the report on the margins of a high-level event at UN headquarters informally known as «Africa Week» (to be held within this year Oct 1016).
As to him, the continent needs more than US$93 milliard a year to meet its infrastructure needs and requires foreign investments to do so.
It is to be mentioned, the NEPAD’s Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) has laid the foundation for the development of transboundary regional projects.
As to Mayaki, the Program has become a success.
