Prime Minister about arrest of senior officials: This is beginning of end of corruption in Ukraine

21.07.2016 17:04 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while speaking within a seminar for regional mass media on energy efficiency and the Government tariff policy, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said the drafting of a complex of anti-corruption laws, the launch of activity of bodies designed to curb corruption and facts of arrests of Ukrainian officials ensured the irreversibility of the path of overcoming corruption in Ukraine, Government Portal reports. «You can see now arrests and all that? I can tell you clearly, you can write down my words, this is the beginning of the end of corruption in Ukraine,» the Prime Minister stressed. As to the report, Groisman reminded that last year the Parliament had adopted the whole package of laws necessary to root out corruption. «How long this fight will last, it’s hard to say. Maybe a year, maybe two, but the fact it has commenced, right now, in these months, is absolutely obvious,» he noted.
