The first shipment of vaccines against measles, mumps and rubella purchased for Ukraine by UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) will be brought on this year Apr 13, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian Deputy Health Minister Igor Pereghinets report within a briefing today.
«The first shipment of vaccines against measles, mumps and rubella, UNICEF will bring next Wed,» Pereghinets said.
As to him, the process Ukraine is going through is unique, but the entire chain - from determining the vaccine list to purchasing via international organizations and shipping of medicines to patients - has worked successfully.
While answering questions posed by the journalists as to other vaccines’ shipments, including anti TB (BCG) vaccine and pertussis, diphtheria and tetanus (Tdap), Pereghinets said they would be brought to Ukraine until this year end May.
Besides, he also noted that today in Ukraine two vaccines are being registered under the simplified procedure.
